Man Stabbed, Robbed And Hospitalized in Brick

One person was hospitalized Sunday after a stabbing and robbery in Brick, police said.

Officers responded to Ocean Medical Center for a report of a victim who had been stabbed. 

At Ocean Medical Center, the male victim advised officers that while walking home from work he was attacked by two unknown males.  The attack happened in the area of the 1500 block of Green Grove Road and Burrsville Road.

The victim advised that the subjects demanded money from him, struck him in the side of the head, and stabbed him one time in the arm.  The victim sustained a minor laceration to his right ear, and a small stab wound to his left shoulder. 

The suspects also were successful in taking a quantity of money from the victim. The victim described the assailants as white males, one who he described as tall, and one that he described as short.

The victim stated that he did not detect an accent when either of the suspects spoke.  After receiving this information, officers responded to the area and conducted a search with negative results.  The victim was treated and released from Ocean Medical Center.
