Man Indicted on Sexual Assault, Child Porn Charges

A 45-year-old Lakewood man is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl, recording the sex acts, and distributing them as child pornography, according to an Ocean County grand jury.

Kevin G. Gomez of Cedar Bridge Avenue, is charged with aggravated sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of the child. He is also charged with endangering the welfare of a 16-year-old through his sexual conduct at the same time – between September and February in Lakewood.

The grand jurors accused him of photographing or filming acts with the younger child to endanger her welfare, and with having child pornography.

Gomez is being held in lieu of $225,000 bail at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

Also indicted were:

• Kelly A. Whitmeyer, 20, of Drum Point Road, Brick, for passing a forged check to steal $710 from the account owner on Jan. 19 in Lakewood.
• Kimberly R. Barnes-Paglione, 32, of Trenton Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, accused of assaulting Ryan Yankowich with a knife on June 11 in Point Pleasant Beach. She is also accused of having the knife illegally after being barred from having weapons because of a prior aggravated assault conviction. Finally she is accused of having the knife for an illegal purpose. She remains in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, unable to post $25,000 bail.

• Nelson B. Gutierrez-Rosa, 25, of Hackett Street, Lakewood, for threatening to shoot Gelacio Garista-Ortiz and Sergio Sanchez on April 25 in Lakewood. Unable to raise $30,000 bail, he is being held in the Ocean County Jail .

• Kyle Mack, 19, of Anthony Court, Lakewood, for a Jan. 3 aggravated assault on Dominique Alexander Holly with a knife and having the weapon illegally. He is in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail.

• Gonzalo Garcia-Ramirez, 25, of River Avenue, Lakewood, for having a phony permanent resident card and Social Security card in Lakewood on July 1.

• Dorian A. Tyler, 39, of Joe Parker Road, Lakewood, accused of stealing a car from Lakewood Transportation on May 28.
