Lakewood Cops: Naked Man Found Riding Tricycle, Chewing Glass

Lakewood police say a 31-year-old man is facing a drug charge after residents of a township apartment complex called to report that he was riding a tricycle naked in a parking lot Tuesday night.

Officer John Macerino investigated a report of the man at the Crossroads Manor Apartments on East Kennedy Boulevard at about 6:30 p.m., police said in a statement released Wednesday. When he arrived, he found a naked man identified as Jermaine Jones, of Trenton, under a stairwell.

Jones, who was chewing on a combination of glass and chewing tobacco at the time, admitted to Macerino that he had ingested cocaine earlier, police said.

Jones was transported to Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, where he received treatment for minor cuts to his mouth and was charged with a disorderly persons offense for public nudity as well as being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

A photo of Jones was not available.
