Brick Man Indicted on Charge of Defrauding Bank

Grand juries hand up indictments

A Red Bank man is facing charges accusing him of withdrawing money from a account via fraud.

Douglas A. Bentley Jr., 34, was indicted last week by an Ocean County grand jury and charged with theft by deception and uttering a forged instrument.

Bentley withdrew $300 from a woman's checking account by forging her name to a withdrawal slip, the indictment states.

He was released on a summons.

  • Phillip Langone, 32, of Point Beach and Tara Crincoli of Lakewood on drug charges.

Between Sept. 27, 2010 and Nov. 22, 2010, Langone possessed cocaine with the intent to sell and distributed less than 5 ounces of the drug in Toms River, Lakewood, Brick and Berkeley, the indictment states.

He and Crincoli also were charged with conspiracy to manufacture, distribute and/or possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. Crincoli also was accused of possessing cocaine in Brick and Lakewood on June 6, 2011, as well as possession with intent to distribute in Brick on June 6, 2011.

Langone was initially held on $150,000 bail but posted March 28, 2011. Crincoli was released on her own recognizance.

  • Jonathan A. White of Brick on drug charges.

White was arrested May 12 in Point Borough and accused of possession of heroin and cocaine as well as possession with intent to distribute heroin. 

He was released on a summons.

  • Elisha A. Hawk, 28, of Bayville on shoplifting and drug charges.

Hawk was arrested Nov. 8 in Brick and accused of stealing more than $500 in DVDs from Target while in possession of zolpidem. 

She was released on a summons.

  • Michael D. Joyner, 39, of Linden on theft by deception charges.

Joyner is accused of acquiring more than $1000 on two occassions from a Brick couple by utilizing two stolen credit cards in their name.

He was released on a summons.

  • Britney M. Garbinski, 22, of Toms River on a shoplifting charge.

Garbinski was arrested Jan. 11 and accused of stealing more than $500 in clothes from , the indictment states.

She was released on a summons.

  • Vincent J. Daddario, 20, and John D. Durkin, 20, both of Brick, on a theft charge.

The pair were arrested Sept. 7 in Lakewood and accused of stealing a crane forklift attachment. Both received a summons.
