Herbertsville Restaurant Burglarized; Brick PD Investigating

$650 stolen from register, police say

Brick Police are investigating a burglary at the restaurant on Herbertsville Road.

The burglary occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 and 7 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, Capt. John Rein said Monday. The burglary was discovered Friday when the owner of the restaurant came to open for the day.

An unknown suspect or suspects pried open the front door, then stole approximately $650 in cash from a register, as well as a set of keys, Rein said.
