Grand Jury Returns Indictment in Connection with Bank Robbery

An Ocean County grand jury has returned an indictment relating to a 33-year-old Brick resident in connection with a robbery at Ocean First Bank on Adamston Road in Brick.

The indictment charges Robert Murray, Jr.with first-degree robbery, which was reported to police by an alarm company at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2013.

Sgt. Keith Reinhard told Patch at the time of the robbery that a suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The note indicated that the suspect had a handgun, but no weapons were shown, said Reinhard.
