Grand Juries Indict Brick Residents on Drug Charges

Resident indicted on driving while suspended charge

A Brick man is out on bail after being indicted on a possession with intent to distribute drugs charge.

Michael P. Gonzalez of Northrup Drive was indicted last week in connection with a July 2 arrest in Seaside Heights in which he was accused of having less than one ounce of marijuana to distribute.

Gonzalez was initially held on $3,500 bail but posted the day of his arrest.

Grand juries also indicted:

  • Michael P. Steltzer, 33, Dustin T. Fairhurst, 21, and Daniel A. McShane, 19, on drug charges.

McShane and Fairhurst, of Point Pleasant, and Steltzer, of Toms River, were arrested Nov. 1 in Brick and accused of possessing oxycodone.

Steltzer also was charged with possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

All were released on summonses.

  • John Torres, 44, of Brick on a charge of driving while suspended.

Torres was arrested Dec. 11 in the borough and accused of driving while on his second suspension for drunken driving, the indictment states.

He was released on a summons.

  • Lawrence W. Mann Jr., 27, of Manasquan and Keith R. Parker, 26, of Brick on a possession of drugs charge.

The pair were arrested Oct. 21 in Lakewood and accused of possessing cocaine.

Both were released on summonses.
