Got Drugs? Brick Will Take Them Back Saturday

Brick Township is having a drug-take-back day on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Drop off location will be directly adjacent to the Brick Township Police Department front desk.  The Brick Township Police Department is located at 401 Chambersbridge Road, Brick, NJ.  For directions you can contact the police department directly at 732-262-1100.

Gas stations must take used oil....how about pharmcays or doctors offices must take these back. They are the ones who push them of the people like candy. How much in police overtime is spent on this program.

And how much will the cops take for their own pleasure? Crush them and throw them in the garbage or flush them. These programs are a waste of tax payer money.

The larger problem is doing just that. These drugs are now found in our water systems throughout the country by flushing them and putting them in landfills.

Sewer treatment plant should take care of water soluble drugs, landfills should be lined in this day and age. I don't think you are going to have any issues with drugs flushed down a toilet. I watched the folks at hospice flush viles of liquid morphine down the toilet, guessing no one was affected by it.
