Fire Damages Home in Lake Riviera Section
Overnight fire started outside, officials say
An early morning fire damaged a home on Heritage Drive in the township's Lake Riviera section.
The fire started in the exterior of the home shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday, said Fire Marshall Kevin Batzel.
Investigators are trying to determine the exact cause of the blaze, which officials believe started when a pile of mulch outside ignited. The flames traveled up the side of the home, which is covered in vinyl siding, Batzel said.

The occupants of the home, who were renting the dwelling, got out safely before firefighters arrived.
"The firefighters were able to hold it before it spread to the rest of the house," said Batzel, explaining that most of the damage was to the home's exterior.
