FBI Investigating 'Serial Bank Robber,' Including Brick Bank Robberies

The FBI has teamed with local authorities in towns from Ocean and Middlesex counties to investigate what police believe is a serial bank robber who hit Brick banks in November.

Middlesex county police announced the suspect is wanted in bank robberies in Brick, Toms River and Edison from October to December.

In the five incidents, the man is seen in disguises such as hats, wigs and face coverings, according to bank surveillance footage.

The suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic man, about 5'4", and of medium build.

The first incident was on Wednesday, Oct. 30 in Edison. At approximately 4:55 pm, the PNC Bank located at 505 Thornall Street, Edison was robbed.  The subject wore a two tone winter jacket with the hood up.

Police believe the same man hit up a Brick bank Nov. 7. At approximately 6:59 pm, the TD Bank located at 989 Burnt Tavern Road was robbed. The subject wore large sunglasses and a windbreaker.

About a week later, a Brick bank was again targeted. Friday Nov. 15 At approximately 5:40 pm, the Santander Bank located at 17 Beaverson Blvd. was robbed. The subject wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a covering over his face.

The suspect was next believed to have robbed an Edison bank.  At approximately 9:04 am. Wednesday Nov. 27, the Columbia Bank, located at 245 Talmadge Road, Edison, was robbed.  The subject wore a gray sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a wig.

The last incident was Dec. 2 in Toms River, when at 11:55 am, the TD Bank, located 2338 Route 9 was robbed.  The subject wore a red and black plaid hunters hat and a black jacket.
