A motorcyclist was charged with driving while intoxicated, having oxycodone and 105 bags of heroin after he was rear-ended by a Brick woman while stopped at a red light on Route 37.

According to Toms River police, Carl Reavis, 52, of 2nd Avenue in Manchester was riding on Route 37 westbound on a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja at about 8 p.m. Sunday night when he was rear-ended by a 1994 Lexus being driven by Judith Bradshaw, 69, of Chambers Bridge Road in Brick. The accident occurred as Reavis was stopped at a red light at the highway's intersection with Peter Avenue.

Reavis was thrown from the motorcycle and landed within the intersection, said police spokesman Ralph Stocco. He was taken by medevac helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries and is listed in stable condition, but has since been charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of oxycodone and possession of 105 bags of heroin, Stocco said.

Bradshaw was issued a summons for careless driving, Stocco said.

how did they discover the drugs? were they thrown all over the road? did the cops find them on the rider, if so why did they search him? I hope the charges get dropped for wrongful search, the rider was the victim of a careless/reckless driver. the woman that hit him doesn't deserve anything but a ticket and a lawsuit.

The cops should have gave the dirtbag the oxycodone and 105 bags of heroin to ingest right there after they found it.

Raptor, you hope the drug charge get's thrown out because of wrongful search?? Have you lost anyone or been touched by heroin abuse? I do not care if they held him down in the street & did an anal exam, if they found 105 bags of heroin on him, they should put him away for a long time. Thankfully they found it before it killed more people!!

I can't believe how you people, at the very least, stick up for a drunk driver. That alone is breaking he law. How would you feel if he killed you daughter, sister, son etc?
