Brick Woman Arrested After Raid on Jackson Home

Second individual allegedly tried to flush drug evidence down toilet

Two Ocean County residents, one from Brick, were arrested in a raid on a home where police seized 240 wax folds of heroin Friday.

Early morning Friday, Jackson Police along with county personnel executed a warrant at a Brewers Bridge Road home, and seized the heroin along with 50 grams of marijuana, drug paraphrenalia and $2,250 in cash, according to the Jackson Police Department.

Police said two individuals inside the residence were arrested and charged with
drug-related offenses.

Samantha Romer, 24, of Brick, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. She was processed and released on summons pending a court appearance.

The other person inside the house allegedly was flushing evidence down the toilet as police executed the raid and now faces charges on drug possession and distribution. Douglas Kiraly Jr., age 27 of Jackson, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana (over 50 grams), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of suboxone, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.

On Friday November 29, 2013 during the pre dawn hours, the Jackson Police Department, with the assistance of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Brewers Bridge Road in Jackson.

During the search, detectives seized 240 wax folds of heroin, over 50 grams of marijuana, digital scales, drug paraphernalia and $2,250.00 in cash.
Arrested:
Douglas Kiraly Jr., age 27 of Jackson, New Jersey. Mr. Kiraly was charged with: Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana (over 50 grams), Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Suboxone, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Evidence for attempting to flush evidence down a toilet. His bail was set at $75,000.00/no 10 percent option and he was lodged in the Ocean County Jail when he was unable to post bail.

Samantha Romer, age 24 of Brick, New Jersey. Ms. Romer was charged with: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. She was processed and released on summons pending a court appearance.

The lead investigators were Jackson Police Detectives Ed Howe and John Rodriguez. They were assisted by Jackson Patrol Officers, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CIU unit.
