Brick Police Investigating Vandalism Spree

Cops say 22 reports filed since March 10

Brick Police are investigating a rash of vandalism incidents over a four-day period. Police have responded to 22 reports of damage to vehicles, homes and excavating equipment since Thursday, March 10, according to Capt. John Rein.

In most of the incidents, rocks, bricks or pieces of asphalt were thrown through vehicle or home windows. In a few cases, said Rein, vehicles were scratched and tires were slashed.

All of the incidents reportedly occurred in the early morning hours and were not localized to one area. Reports on the incidents came from separate neighborhoods throughout the township.

While the type of vandalism committed in each of the acts is similar, said Rein, police have not determined if the same party was responsible for all of the 22 reported incidents.

Police are asking anyone with any information relating to these crimes to contact the Brick Township Police Investigations Division at 732-262-1120.
