Brick Police Investigate Garage Break-In

Burglary happened last week in the Herbertsville section

A burglar broke into a township resident's garage but fled the scene without having stolen any property, police said.

A neighbor spotted a man climbing through an open garage window on Revere Drive around 1:20 p.m. last Wednesday, according to Capt. John Rein.

The man, described as a white male, 180 to 200 pounds, clean shaven with dark hair, fled the scene in a champagne-colored four door sedan. The neighbor later told the homeowner, who was not home at the time, about the incident, and the homeowner called police, Rein said.
