7 Brick Residents Arrested by Sheriff's Dept.

Sheriff's department makes arrests

Ocean County Sheriff's officers made 81 arrests in November, 28 of which were the result of sweeps for those owing child support payments. In all, officers recouped $316,867 in child support arrears.

Of the 81 people arrested, seven were from Brick. Those people included:

  • 11/10/11 – David Morin, 32, of Roosevelt Drive was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Stark and M. Pettrucelli on a Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Ocean County Drug Court Program. Morin was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail.
  • 11/14/11 – Angela Chelednik, 37, of Briars Mill Drive was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals T. Duffy and Robert Trainor on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for violation of probation on original charges of shoplifting. Chelednik was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.
  • 11/14/11 – Tarik Wilson, 37, of Briar Mills Road was arrested by Sheriff’s Detective P. Sickinger and R. Stark on a Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Ocean County Drug Court Program. Wilson was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail.
  • 11/14/11 – Richard Thumma, 44, of Rocky Mountain Boulevard was charged by Sheriff’s Detective S. Moore with being a Fugitive from Justice from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where he faces charges of violation of probation on original charges of robbery. Thumma was lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending extradition back to the state of Pennsylvania. 
  • 11/18/11 – Michael Mercer, 30, of Kingfisher Circle was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives H. Foltz and S. Metta on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $1,269.00. Mercer was processed, paid a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department and subsequently released.
  • 11/21/11 – Jamie J. Calderone, 28, of Northrup Drive was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives S. Metta and J. Mercado on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $2,934.95. Calderone was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.
  • 11/28/11 – Stacy Marie Murphy, 26, of Manhattan Drive was arrested by Sheriff’s Detective H. Foltz and C. Watkins on a Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Ocean County Drug Court Program. Murphy was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail.
