5 Brick Residents Arrested in Sheriff's Sweep

Most of those arrested owed back child support

Ocean County Sheriff's Department detectives conducted a sweep last week targeting parents who were the subjects of warrants for back child support. The raids also resulted in the arrest of several people with outstanding criminal warrants.

In all, five Brick residents were arrested. They were:

  • Robert L. Crotchfelt, 43, of Sky Manor Boulevard, arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Gentile and M. Groesch on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $16,723.38. He was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.
  • Michael R. Difabio, 47, of Dock Road, arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Gentile and M. Groesch on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $6,834.14. Difabio was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.
  • Robert F. Russell, 37, of Greenwood Loop Road, arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and R. Johnson on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $1,827.64. Russell was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance
  • Charles F. Cino, 43, of Ardmore Drive, was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives H. Foltz and J. Mercado on two (2) Ocean County Superior Courts Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $6,830.85. Cino was processed, paid a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department, and subsequently released
  • Salvatore Manto, 24, of Briars Mill Road, was arrested by Sheriff’s Officers T. Fritz and C. Farrell on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Ocean County Drug Court Program. Manto was processed, transported and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.
