In Brick: A Thank You, To Frank, For Helping Woman With Broken Hip

A writer says:

"Whoever is the angel, Frank, out there who found my mother lying on the ground, after falling on the ice Monday afternoon behind Jo-Ann's, and called 911: Thank you, thank you, thank you, and God bless you--she had a broken hip.

It is so nice to hear something like this. Obviously, Frank did a great deed and didn't want any fanfare.

Frank deserves a thank you. But really, who would not help a woman who has slipped and fallen? Who would want more than a thank you? I would help in a heartbeat (as I believe most would) and expect nothing in return.

Because recognition is rewarding and no one expects anything in return. Stop voicing what a martyr you are.

I helped an elderly woman outside of Pathmark last year who literally just fainted right in front of me as she was pushing her cart to her car. At first I wasn't sure it really happened. It looked like she pushed her cart away and then fell face forward. I jumped out of my car and then someone ran in and got the manager and we stayed with her till the EMC's got there . In a way I wanted some recognition for seeing her and running to her aid but life goes on and I had to leave Always wondered if the manager took care of her groceries! lol
