Judge Blaney Protects Animal Abusers

What a slap in the face in the Sammy the Cocker Spaniel case, the one where the Morgans admitted dumping their old dog Sammy in a garbage bag. Sammy endured years of pain and neglect.  Was starved, fur matted from her own feces, burns on her feet from standing in her own urine and deaf from chronic untreated ear infections. Her neglect was criminal.  Judge Lepore sentenced them quite appropriately to six months in prison.  At appeal, Judge Blaney overturned the sentence, giving them 90 days house arrest (watch tv, relax, order a pizza....).  In his eyes it seems animal abuse is just fine.   Let him know what you think about his decision here: http://www.therobingroom.com/newjersey/Judge.aspx?id=5147
