Flood Insurance

Senate passes bill averting largest flood insurance increases under Biggert-Waters   I am kinda of proud of what we (StopFemaNow)  have done, to get this bill passed!! I can't believe a small group of 20 people, who first met in a sub shop, which grew into thousands of people across the land, actually did this!! Many doubted, we could even get a bill started! We got the word out, many of us "homeless", in the begining. We paid for lawn signs, bumper stickers and fliers ourselves, when we should of spent money on other things ! We emailed and Twittered and Facebooked, until all hours of the night. Attended rallies in good weather and in  bad. But we knew we had to win this fight!   A true  lesson. You can fight "cityhall" and win. This bill is not perfect but it is a start!     Now on to the White House !
