Celebrate the Holiday with Events in Brick

A bevy of events offer up options to help celebrate the holidays. Check out this calendar of events in and around Brick and Point Pleasant area.

Nov. 23

Dream Factory at the Jersey Shore will be hosting a Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus at 1065 Cedar Bridge Road, Brick. Holiday shopping and light refreshments available for purchase. Call 732-539-2421.

Nov. 29

Central United Methodist Church will be holding an open house to prolong the fun of the town’s Christmas tree lighting. Stop by the church for hot spiced cider and doughnuts. Point Pleasant High School Show Choir will be performing.  At 729 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, at 6:30 p.m. Call 732-892-3233.

Dec. 6 & 8

The Brick Township Historical Society will hold A Railroad Christmas Tour at its Havens Homestead Museum property, 521 Herbertsville Road, Brick. The event is 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 6 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 8. Trains on display and Victorian Santa will pay a visit. The donation is $5 for adults, children under 12 are free. Dec. 7

Service Club of Greenbriar will host a Fall Fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Handmade items and a white elephant sale, plus café menu, at 1 Darley Circle in Brick. All money raised with go to the Brick first aid and fire departments, Jersey Shore Animal Center, Seeing Eyes for the Blind, Deborah Hospital and the Ocean Medical Center Foundation.

 

Dec. 7

Applebee’s in Brick will hold its annual Breakfast with Santa, 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7. The fundraiser helps support U.S. Marines “Toys for Tots.” Advanced reservations required, $10 each. Children under 2 are free. Guests receive breakfast, raffle tickets, and a photo opportunity with Santa with your camera.

 

Dec. 7 & 8

The Jersey Shore Animal Center at 185 Brick Boulevard in Brick will host Pet Photos with Santa on Dec. 7 -8, from noon to 3 p.m. The cost is $10 per photo. No appointment necessary. Photos come in a holiday card. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. Call 732-920-1600.

Dec. 9

The Old Guard of Greater Point Pleasant Area will host the Annual Christmas Dinner Dance on Dec. 9, at the Lobster Shanty, 83 Channel Drive in Point Pleasant Beach. Orchestral music, full dinner and dessert ($30-$35). For times and tickets, call 732-886-2969 or 732-546-8872.

Dec. 10

The Brick Township Chamber of Commerce will host a Holiday Get-Together, on Tuesday, December 10th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the RiverWatch Restaurant and Lounge (formerly the Pilot House) at 799 Route 70 in Brick.  This event is being sponsored by Investors Bank and was organized to be a feel-good evening for business people to re-connect and network. Donations of non-perishable food items as well as baby items will be collected and donated to the Visitation Relief Center, which is providing services for people still suffering from Superstorm Sandy. The cost to attend this event is $20 for members and $30 for non- members who have prepaid (at the door add $5.00) and will include a light buffet, one glass of domestic beer or house wine and prize drawings.  For additional information about this and other events please visit the Chamber of Commerce website at www.brickchamber.com.
