Brick Christmas Tree Lighting Scheduled for 5 p.m. Today

5 to 7 p.m. at town hall

A forecast of a heavy rain has so far not rescheduled today's Christmas Tree Lighting for Brick Township.

The event is currently scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 26, with a visit from Santa beginning around 5:30 p.m at the township municipal building, Chambersbridge Road.

The annual event is free, and includes holiday music, treats, Santa, and a flip of the switch on the lights to the township Christmas tree.

In 2011, rain impacted the tree lighting but choir performances and cookie samplings were inside the municipal hall and courtroom, as celebrants packed the building for festivities.

Also, the Annual Menorah Lighting will take place on December 2 at 4:15 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
