Rumors Salon and Day Spa and Coastal Jersey Parrot Head Club have joined together to sponsor a second annual Cut-A-thon for Eakfest/Cystic Fibrosis on Sunday October 2, 2011 from 11 Am to 3 PM. Rumors Salon is located at 760 Mantoloking Road, in Brick NJ. Telephone 732-477-8811. Haircuts for adults are a $20.00 donation and children under age 12 are a $15.00 donation. (Any other services are available at usual rates).The staff of Rumors is volunteering their time to this fundraiser. No appointments are necessary and all proceeds donated to “Eakfest” for Cystic Fibrosis. Coffee and donuts will be served for all participants as long as they last. Rumors will accept donations with checks made payable to “Eakfest” by October 2.
In 2010, this event generated a $500.00 donation and this year’s goal is to increase that number.

Eakfest is a haunted Halloween fundraiser which has grown since its beginning in a back yard into a two night event at the Pioneer Hose Fire Department on Drum Point Road, Brick. Friday October 14, from 7- 10 PM features the haunted trail, carnival rides and Games2U. On Saturday October 15, Eakfest is open from 5-10.
