1836 Election Day and Women's Suffrage

Join the Villagers as they re-create the historic Election of 1836 this Sunday at Allaire Village! From 12:00-4:00pm learn about the "current" issues of the time, cast your ballot in the election, and join the Village women as they march for their right to vote. Elections were different in the 19th century and you may be caught in a heated "debate" between Villagers supporting Martin Van Buren or William Henry Harrision! This is an event that is appropriate and fun for the entire family. Other activities will include tours of the buildings, 19th century games, and more!
