UPDATE: SummerFest Movie Cancelled As Stormy Weather Approaches

Brick Township's Parks and Recreation Department decided around 3 p.m. today to officially cancel the start of the Summerfest series, the movie Grease, due to an approaching storm front, according to Directory Dave Francese.

SummerFest features concerts, movies, classic cars, fireworks and much more!  See below for all remaining upcoming events this summer. 

Thursday, Fourth of July SummerFest Concert featuring Jimmy & The Parrots - Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band plus FIREWORKS!!!

Opening act will take the stage approximately 7 p.m.  Fireworks will take place immediately after headline act completes their set, approximately 9 p.m.  In addition to the concert, there will be a food court, sponsor exhibits and more.  It is recommended that people expecting to attend SummerFest Concerts consider using the free shuttle bus (information below).

Thursday, July 18 Drive in Movie Featuring HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA

Gates to the Windward Beach Lawn will open at 7 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk.  Spaces are limited.  There will be an area in front of the screen for people to sit on chairs and blankets (must provide your own).  Don't forget your bug spray!

Thursday, August 1 Annual Car Show Hosted by the Time Capsule Cruisers

The Annual Car Show offers citizens the opportunity to see spectacular cars from all eras.  There will be live music and refreshments available.  The show begins at 6pm.

Tuesday, August 6 National Night Out Against Crime & Kids Day Celebration

The Annual Night Out Against Crime and Kid’s Day Celebration will feature police exhibits, demonstrations, games, the Police Camp Graduation and more.

All SummerFest 2013 events are held at Windward Beach Park, Princeton Avenue and are FREE to attend.  The Township of Brick would like to thank our sponsors for their support and helping us continue this traditions.  SummerFest sponsors include Saker Shop Rites, IMAC Insurance, Wal Mart, Comcast, TD Bank, and more. 

 

SummerFest Concert Shuttle Buses

Free shuttle buses will be available on concert evenings to make attending SummerFest concerts convenient and alleviate traffic near Windward Beach.  Shuttle buses run from Brick Township High School (Chambers Bridge Road), Midstreams Elementary School (Midstreams Road) and Drum Point Elementary School (Drum Point Road) from 5pm until the last bus at 8pm.  Return trips from Windward Beach begin at 9pm.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
