UPDATE: Crews Respond To Apartment Complex Fire On Chambers Bridge, Other Incidents

Fire crews responded to a report of a fire at a Chambers Bridge Road apartment building, known as David Fried Apartments, yesterday around 2 p.m..

Sgt. Henry Drew said that the four-unit senior apartment building was evacuated as a precautionary measure and no one was injured.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation but he said it likely started in the ceiling. It was not related to an earlier fire at Bally's, he said.

Breton Woods fire company, Pioneer hose fire company and Brick police, along with local EMS responded.

Local fire crews also responded to two additional reports of fires late yesterday and early this morning - at 8 Queen Ann Road around 6 p.m. yesterday and on Pacific Ocean Drive around midnight, according to reports on the Breaking News Network, but details of those fires were not immediately available early this morning.
