Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Overnight Hours

Minor tidal flooding expected, forecasters say

A coastal flood advisory has been issued for the entire Shore area, forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly said Wednesday.

The watch will begin at 11 p.m. Wednesday and last through 4 a.m. Thursday. Minor tidal flooding, including localized roadway flooding, is anticipated around the time of the overnight high tide, the advisory said.

High tide will occur at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Route 35 bridge over the Manasquan River from Brielle to Point Pleasant Beach. On Barnegat Bay, high tide will occur at 4:24 a.m. Thursday at the Mantoloking Bridge, 3:58 a.m. in Toms River and 3:26 a.m. at Oyster Creek in Lacey Township.
