A Beachwood woman has been arrested following an investigation into a purse snatching that occurred at the ShopRite on August 4.
Judith Campbell, 32, of Compass Avenue, has been arrested and charged with theft and has been released on the criminal summons pending a future court date, police said.
In a prepared statement, Township police noted the arrest followed the release of video surveillance of that purse snatching that was released on various social media and local media outlets, including Brick Patch.
In a prepared statement Brick police said they received 200 phone calls from concerned citizens and called the arrest "a great example of just how important the partnership between the police and community is."
