FRHSD Election, Manalapan Rep,

Vote for Gloria Close, to be the Manalapan Rep to the FRHSD School Board.

On November 6th Manalapan & Englishtown voters have an opportunity to finally make a dent in the way the FRHSD conducts it's business. The current board, as it is currently situated and led by Supt. Charles Sampson, almost from day one of his term has consistently attempted to give raises to administrators and supervisors with virtually no opposition from the board members, including the Manalapan incumbent, Jennifer Sutera. Along with the raises, various stipends for certain district members who Sup't. Sampson relies on have gotten several increases in one year. Add to that, the current tenure charges against former Manalapan High School Principal Simon has run into the high hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees with no end in sight. Mr. Sampson, who vowed to rid us of all the Wasser legacy leftovers, has for some reason, retained the law firm of Schwartz, Edelstein, etc. which was the bulwark abettors of all the Wasser charades that cost this district hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past to prosecute this case of what appears to be, a diminishing list of charges but a windfall for the law firm...All of this with Jennifer Sutera's approval. If any of you attend or watch the meetings, you will know that Manalapan resident, Gloria Close, has fought tooth and nail against the profligate, sometimes reckless spending and camouflaging of budget issues at almost every meeting for the past 5 years. She has rankled board members intent on maintaining the status quo with evasive answers to pointed questions with ridicule and sometimes insulting replies. Ms. Close is not someone who can be pushed aside as Wasser did to the former Marlboro rep. Katie Goon. Ms. Close will fight for the students and the tax payers of Manalapan to make sure they get their full dollars worth of taxes used in the most efficient manner possible.

I have seen Ms. Close in action, and boy does she hold the FRHSD administration's feet to the fire as well as the rubber stamping Board of Education. I have gotten to known Gloria by seeing her attend meetings for the last 5 years, and when superintendents see her coming in the door, they actually cringe at seeing this 5'-5" woman. Ms. Close WILL NOT be another "rubber stamp" for this superintendent or any other superintendent. I was at a meeting during the heydays of the Breyer State diploma-mill scandal, and when she spoke during public comment, the administration had her surrounded by police officers in a failed attempt at intimidating her from speaking. If you want to see her in action, go to Youtube and place in the search box "FRHSD" You will see how much of an advocate for the taxpayers and students she really is. http://nt.gmnews.com/news/2012-10-24/Letters/Moves_cited_by_letter_writer_are_typical_of_FRHSD_.html Another interesting article that I have seen on the blogs is the below hyperlink. The current represenative of Manalapan did in fact vote for this particular position in 2009 that author Bob Ingle references. http://blogs.app.com/politicspatrol/2009/09/21/you-property-tax-money-at-work-no-598/

Good luck Ms. Close. You have the votes of many people that I am aware of.

Mrs. Close has always been an advocate of the taxpayers and the students for the 20+ years that I've known her. She will be an asset as the Manalapan representative on the FRHSD board. She has my vote and I encourage everyone to get out and vote. Good Luck, Gloria!
