St. Patrick's Day Party Guide

If the Jersey Shore knows how to do one thing right, it's celebrating St. Patrick's Day. We've rounded up some of the most popular parties at your local watering holes.

Looking for a place to warm up with the traditional Irish fare and catch some music, too?

There's no better place than the Shore.

Farrell’s, 401 Broadway, Point Pleasant Beach-Connolly Station’s sister pub in Point Pleasant is an authentic Irish bar and restaurant. On St. Patrick’ Day they’re opening at 8 a.m. and serving Irish breakfast. They’ll have live traditional music (and other live entertainment) all day. They’ll be serving corned beef sandwiches, Guinness pot pie and other traditional favorites.

Klee’s Bar & Grill, 101 Boulevard, Seaside Heights-Klee’s is the epitome of a watering hole--a friendly, quaint pub whose doors are always open. On St. Patty’s Day they’ll have music by John Monnecka, great Irish food and drink specials. They also have specials on Guinness all month long!

The Office, 820 Main St., Toms River The Office will be serving delicious treats all day for St. Pat’s Day. They’ll have the traditional corned beef & cabbage and Irish soda bread. There will also be bagpipers stopping by. To make reservations call 732-849-0800.  

Crab’s Claw Inn, 601 Grand Ave., Lavallette- Crab Claw’s Inn will be having a St. Pat’s Day party all afternoon starting at 3 p.m. There will be music by the Celtic-rock group Bloody Callan, as well as bagpipers. They’ll be serving Irish food specials such as corned beef & cabbage, Irish nachos, Shepherd’s Pie, Reuben rolls and Dublin tacos.

Shark Fin Inn, 701 S. Main St., Forked River- It always feel like summer at Shark Fin Inn, even on St. Patty’s Day. Charlie Mack will kick the party off with live music at 4:30 p.m., followed by Matt Noffsinger at 9:30 p.m. There will be corned beef and cabbage, and other Irish specials. $2 Miller Lite pints all night.

The Idle Hour, 2600 Rt. 88, Point Pleasant Boro- The Idle Hour will be having their 1st annual St. Patty’s Day Tent Party from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be outside music by The Mangos and inside music by DJ Lucky Charm. Specials include $3 16oz. Millter Lt. aluminums and $3 Miller Lite pints, as well as $5.99 corned beef sammies. There will be bag pipes, prizes, giveaways and tons of Irish fare.

Captain’s Inn, 304 East Lacey Rd., Forked River- Celebrate St. Patty’s Day island style at Captain’s Inn Tiki Bar! On March 17 they’ll be having corned beef and cabbage specials, $5.50 Jameson drinks, $3.50 Guinness, and $2 Miller Lites. There will be music by Brother Pete from 6 to 10 p.m. In the restaurant there will also be Jameson and Guinness specials, and music by Mike Kelly.
