Brick Chick-Fil-A Restaurant to Open Next Week

First 100 customers in line to get free food for a year

A new Chick-Fil-A location will open up next week in Brick, the company announced Wednesday morning.

The new location, at 522 Route 70, will officially open June 26 with a promotion to give away free food for a year to the first 100 customers who show up at the restaurant.

"Chick-fil-A’s most passionate customers arrive more than 24 hours in advance of a grand opening, packing tents, lawn chairs, computers, TVs, couches and all kinds of gear to make their wait more comfortable and entertaining," said Cindy Chapman, a company spokesperson.

The restaurant will provide  security, entertainment, games and food to those waiting.

The restaurant will open at 6 a.m. with the first 100 people receiving a gift card loaded with 52 free meals – one per week for a year – a total of $30,000 in free food when all the cards are counted. Participants in the contest must be 18 years or older and have identification, the company said.

The Brick location, the company said, features the restaurant chain's latest interior design and space for 136 diners at a time. The location also features outdoor seating and a playground area for children, plus two drive-through ordering screens so two cars can order food at once.

The Brick location will be open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving a full breakfast menu until 10:30 a.m.

The restaurant, known for its fresh chicken sandwiches, has 1,822 locations in 39 states and has been in business since 1967, when its first location opened up in a mall in Atlantic, Ga.
