Another Dunkin Donuts Coming to Brick Township

A former Bank of America branch in Brick will be converted into a Dunkin Donuts.

The popular doughnut, coffee and breakfast sandwich franchise will be located on Herbertsville Road, near the intersection with Maple Avenue, across from a Krauser's.

Signs went up recently announcing the new location at the former bank site, as construction crews overhaul the property, converting the bank teller window to an ordering kiosk and drive-through.

Dunkin Donuts franchises exists in multiple locations around Brick, with more than five throughout town, and three nearby in Lakewood on Route 70.

better leave the leaded glass windows on, the way Brick is headed.......

Of course. Only jobs Bricktucky are able to open are low wage service. So the overweight sheep can continue to consume, consume, consume. The only thing they know how to produce is a bunch of waste in a toilet.

When is DD going to open in Barnegat? There's a great location on West Bay Avenue within 1 mile of 3 senior communities that are dying for a DD nearby!!

OH Goodie! We so needed another Dunkin Doughnut in Brick!

To all the negative comments...you complain when store fronts are left empty, when new businesses come to town the first thing people cry out about is why don't they fill a vacant store front. So here we have DD doing just that and there you go negative comments. Personally I think it is a good idea. Watch how busy it gets, when was the last time you saw a DD go out of business...very few times. Krauszers will definitely feel the impact.
J.JONES January 13, 2014 at 10:33 AM
@Donnie I agree with you but there is already 5 locations on Herbertsville rd. that you already get coffee and sandwiches from 6 am. to 10 pm. So wait and see who goes out of business and here we go more empty buildings ..D.D. MAY BE A NEWER BRIGHTER CLEANER PLACE BUT ATLEAST 3 PLACES WILL SUFFER LOSS OF BUSINESS..

I do hope that the local residents will continue to support the local businesses along Herbertsville Rd. I understand the need to fill vacancies from a revenew standpoint but did anyone consider the negative impact that this decision would have on the existing establishments? There is a potential for at least 2 vacancies as a result. My gob Brick get your head out if your @#$%&, a D&D is the last thing that Herbertsville needs. Was a traffic impact study performed? I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed :( BTW, dollars to doughnut, that's great!

I for one welcome our new doughnut overlords.
Cathy January 13, 2014 at 01:13 PM
Yay! We probably don't need another DD but we do need a DD drive thru! :)

People just remember to support YOUR OWN... lets not see the local stores who've been in business for years and years succumb to the DD Chain and their overpriced goods...

As long as DD doesn't start serving pork roll I am not concerned about our neighborhood delis.

PRIME has awesome coffee and breakfast sandwiches - not sure why they would put a D&D right next store to PRIME, across the way from Krauszers and down the road from Herbertsville Deli and former Mama D's. Not looking forward to having to wait to make a left or right onto Herbertsville Road from Maple Avenue.
WMS826 January 13, 2014 at 06:12 PM
Herbertsville rd needs a make over. The business there except for prime are not the cleanest or most enticing. The two pizza places are ok but neither herbertsville deli, krausers, or especially the luncheonette are clean and inviting.

If they could really envision the future of Herbertsville they would make that old bank a Fried Chicken joint. Instead they build another place for Bricks finest to mooch another free cup of coffee.

We need another DD in Brick so Walmart can continue to sell size 5X sweat pants.
KC January 13, 2014 at 11:44 PM
PS Even the donuts are an improvement over Skank of America who caused this crap economy in large measure.

I hope the previous owner told them there is SERIOUS mold issues in that building! Not somewhere you want to have food! Make sure this is resolved! Tthat basement has been an issue for a very long time. Bleach may masked it for a minute to pass testing, but it needs to be done right! Good luck with the business!!!! And the one comment has a point. A drive-thru is already there. Use the first one with window next to building! People when one business thrives, so do the business around them. It may mean they need to step up their game, but that is a good thing! To the Township - slowing the traffic down May be a good thing, so those people who speed past the other businesses may actually notice what they are missing if they drove slower! Breakfast, lunch and dinner choices!!
