Nature author David Wheeler whose new book, “Wild New Jersey: Nature Adventures in the Garden State,” hit bookstores last month, will bring his statewide book tour to Brick with a speaking event at Barnes & Noble on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 1 to 3p.m. at 44 Brick Plaza (off route 70.)
Wheeler’s highly anticipated book, published by Rutgers University Press, has received glowing endorsements and coverage from the Star Ledger, USA Today, Inside Jersey magazine, and Thirteen's One-On-One with Steve Adubato. Wheeler, an experienced and compelling public speaker, has brought his book tour – the Wild New Jersey Road Trip – across New Jersey and beyond, with over 50 events scheduled so far in 2011.
Books are on sale online and in Barnes & Noble stores across New Jersey. Wheeler previously wrote a nature column for the Star Ledger and other media, and is the founder of WildNewJersey.tv, the only daily statewide nature blog in New Jersey. Wheeler, who spent part of his childhood living in Toms River - adventures fondly recollected in "Wild New Jersey" - earned his B.A. from American University in Washington DC and his M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business.
