:Gratitude," G.K. Chesterton wrote, "is the mother of all virtues," As Americans we have reasons to be filled with gratitude at all times; gratitude to God who gave us the opportunity to come to this land and to live in freedom . Gratitude to our Founding Fathers who set forth those principles that constitute our creed. Gratitude to following gererations who have defended us and our loved one's. All this should inspire a sense of duty and responsibility to our country, state, towns and cities. Is this happening here in Brick, "the jewel of South Jersey?"
Is our township respected as it shopuld be? Are we greatful for our surroundings? Do our citizens treat others with kindness and truth? What else can be done to accomplish a better harmonious relationship between those on the opposite sides of political discourse I'm afraid that the answer to these questions will not be known until truth wins out overall.
Please think about this a considerable amount of your time because if Brick does not improve it will go the way other cities and towns in this state have crumbled. Brick is worth saving and politics must take a back seat to reason. It is therefore that I suggest that both sides give up their titles (R or D) and become one harmonious unit, united for the bettermint of Brick, New Jersey, "the jewel of South Jersey."

I thank all veterans and their loved one's who waited at home, those who were injured and those who have given the supreme sacrifice to enable me and others to write letters like this whenever we want to on any subject we choose. Say a prayer of thaks while remembering them on Memorial Day. Let them know they are still remembered.
