Weekend Nightlife Round Up August 12-14

It's the time of summer when everyone is trying to fit in those last minute escapes and get the most out the season, but don't forget to relax and enjoy what's right here in your backyard!

High Velocity, Rt 166, Beachwood-This sports bar and grill was recent host to the WRAT 95.9’s RATFEST opening act band search competition and serves as a staple venue for local and regional acts. An all-around kind of place, they’re got great food and drink specials, karaoke, poker leagues, billiards, darts and all the big Sunday games.

  • Friday: $2.50 Yuenglings, $3.00 Coronas, $4.00 Bacardi drinks, $5.00 all you can eat buffet and shot wheel.
  • Saturday: $2.00 12oz Blue Moon, Landshark, and shot wheel specials.
  • Sundays: “Nascar Sundays” with $2.00 Coors Light drafts, karaoke, and live music with Mr. Johnny Karma.

Klee’s, 101 Blvd, Seaside Heights- In between all the wild parties and clubs in Seaside, Klee’s has managed to maintain their local, friendly clientele. Here you’ll find great drinks specials and the best of local entertainment.

  • Thursday: Prime Rib Night with Killian’s $2.50 pints.
  • Friday: “Oyster Night” with specials and live entertainment with Jeff Cafone.
  • Sunday: Live entertainment with Marty McKernan.

Jenk’s Club, 300 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach-The premiere nightclub at the Jersey Shore, Jenk’s has top notch live entertainment, can’t-beat drink specials, and high energy dance parties.

  • Friday: DJ Encore and DJ Prime late night. $2.50 Coors Light until midnight.
  • Saturday: No Standards at 2p.m.; Dark City Saints at 10p.m.
  • Sunday: Flying Mueller Brothers at 2p.m. Go-Go Gadget and DJ Unique at night with $3.00 Corona and Corona Lights all night.

Hemingway’s Cafe, 612 Blvd, Seaside Heights-Hemingway’s is a covering-all-the-bases type of place, offering a bustling dinner scene, nightly entertainment, and a relaxing location near the beach.

  • Thursday: Domestic Thursdays with DJ’s Billy the Kid & Encore. $2.00 domestic bottles and $3.00 Skyy drinks.
  • Friday: Ladies Night with half priced drinks for ladies. $2.00 Coors Light bottles and $3.00 bomb shots. DJ Milky Mike will be spinning. No cover for ladies.
  • Saturday: The Hottest Dance Party Down the Shore with music by DJs Billy the Kid and DJ Teo. No cover before 10p.m.

Idle Hour, 2600 Hwy 88, Point Pleasant- Idle Hour is “your neighborhood sports bar” with amazing daily drink specials and live entertainment on the weekends, including a St. Pat’s Day celebration every Saturday.

  • Friday: All day happy hour until 6p.m. with $2.00 domestic bottles and domestic pints.
  • Saturday:  St.Pat’s Day specials with $2.00 mugs & $3.00 pints of Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, $3.00 shots of Irish whiskey, $4.00 car bombs until 10p.m., and $4.99 corned beef sandwiches.
