Strengthening Families Program Scheduled in Brick

From Barnabas Health:

Beginning on Thursday, May 1, Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention will host Strengthening Families (SF), a free 14-week education program for Ocean County parents, grandparents and guardians of 7th and 8th graders, utilizing the award-winning SF curriculum. The program, held in collaboration with the Ocean Partnership for Children, will be held each week, from 6 – 8 p.m., in Brick.

The SF education program assists parents and guardians in enriching existing skills to establish a successful, healthy, substance-free future for their child and becoming better prepared to meet the complexity of today’s parenting challenges. Youth participants in SF practice effective communication techniques, healthy coping strategies and skills for resisting peer pressure. A free family dinner will be provided each week.
