'StangsGiving Dinner Planned to Help Brick Sandy Victims

Proceeds will be used to help Sandy victims

Two Brick Township teachers are planning a charity, 'StangsGiving dinner to help Brick families in need following Hurricane Sandy.

Nicole Pannucci-Cogill, along with Ann Marie Tarnowski and Barbra Stansbury, are planning the dinner, which will be held Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Brick Memorial High School Gold Cafe.

"It's not a green and gold thing, just a giving back thing!" the organizers say.

Pannucci-Cogill said the idea was born when a few teachers who had been displaced due to the storm stayed with her and her husband.

"We were eating pasta and decided that a pasta dinner for our entire community would be an excellent idea to raise money, awareness and morale," she said.

The money will go to local families in need, said Pannucci-Cogill. Those families are still being identified.

The pasta dinner will cost $10.
