A west wind kept temperatures high Tuesday even near the ocean. The ocean water temperature in Atlantic City was recorded as being 47 degrees Tuesday, while the temperature of Barnegat Bay was 58 degrees as recorded at the Mantoloking Bridge in Brick.

The bay water temperature has risen dramatically over the past several days. A week ago, it was hovering between 44 and 46 degrees at the bridge.
