Motorcyclist Taken To Jersey Shore Following Collision on Burnt Tavern Road

A 21-year-old Brick man has been taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment of his injuries after his Suzuki motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Suburban around 4:30 today on Burnt Tavern Road.

Brick police said Nicholas A. Marmolejo was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Burnt Tavern Road approaching a construction area, when the Suburban, driven by Miguel A. Gallegos , also of Brick, entered into the closed lane and proceeded east as it approached Burrsville Road.

Gallegos began to move into the right lane after the lane closure ended in order to facilitate a right turn, police said, when the motorcycle emerged from the lane closure and impacted the Suburban approximately 30 feet west of the intersection.
