Identities of 'Ocean's 16' Powerball Winners Will Be Revealed Tuesday

Group validated their winning ticket Monday

The group of 16 Ocean County employees who became instant millionaires in last week's $448 million Powerball lottery drawing will come forward to publicly claim their prize on Tuesday.

On Monday, the group officially validated their ticket and posed for an internal photo which was shared over social media by the state Lottery Commission.

Lottery officials will hold a news conference at the Ocean County Library's main branch in Toms River where each of the so-called "Ocean's 16" winners – all employees of the county's vehicle maintenance department – will be on hand.

Several of the winners will speak publicly, lottery officials said.

The winning ticket – one of three nationwide – was purchased at the Acme supermarket in Little Egg Harbor.

One of the 16 winners has already come forward. Susan Nickel of Eagleswood Township told The Press of Atlantic City that she and her husband will use the money to repair their home which was flooded with seven feet of water in Superstorm Sandy.

Each of the 16 lucky locals will walk away with $3.6 million after taxes if they split the lump sum prize jackpot of $58.3 million, the New York Daily News reported.
