'Dog Fest' Comes to Windward Beach Saturday

A celebration of everything canine

The annual Dog Fest celebration of everything canine will be held at Windward Beach Park Saturday.

In previous years, hundreds of dogs and their dedicated companions turned out in droves to mingle with other dog lovers and their pups at the park, which has been formally declared "dog-friendly" for the special occasion by the township council.

According to the Brick Rotary Club, which sponsors the event, the day’s festivities will include canine demonstrations, contests, prizes, plus "food and fun for our furry friends and their families."

The day will include contests for dogs in costume, in various categories. Demonstrations of various service dogs will take place throughout the day as well. Plus, families can shop for supplies and services for their pets provided by local vendors.

Last year, the Rotary Club said, more than 2000 people and 1000 dogs attended.
