Area Chowderfest Moved To Sunday
Decision made based on weather prediction for Saturday.
The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce has moved the date of their chowderfest to Sunday, Oct. 13 from noon to 7 p.m.
The event will feature music, a beer garden, arts and crafts, and of course, 10 of the area's best chowda's!
Festival organizers said they made the decision because the weather forecast predicts rain on Saturday, the originally planned date. A slow-moving Nor’easter is expected to churn out 2 to 4 inches of rain and bring localized floods in some areas of the state over the next several days, the National Weather Service said.
