Obama & Rules For Radicals
One of Obama's mentors and there were many, was Saul Alinsky, Neo-Marxist. Our President B. Obama, helped fund the Alinsky Academy. Obama also sat on the Board of the Woods Fund next to William Ayers a member of the Weather Underground, a domestic terror organization. These were schools for the teaching of community organizing and were committed to progressive social change. He, Obama learned how to infiltrate the system from within through the system of Emotional Manipulation and Covert Aggression.
The purpose of these schools is to create mass organizations to seize power. "Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.......this means revolution." This happened in Europe years ago. Are you too young to remember? Ask a WW2 veteran, he'll inform you of the dangers. I remembered as a kid.
An organizer does not have a fixed truth. Everyfthing to him is relative and changing. Remember his political cry or slogan, "CHANGE." We sure got change ,didn't we? An organizer is taught that change comes from power and power comes from organization. The first step is community disorganization. All change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new. Open your eyes because this is happening right now. Those of you who expect to vote for this community disorganizer had better think real hard and search your brain because we cannot let this person take control of our lives and country .
A ruthless organization caused untold misery upon millions in the 30's and 40's and if we don't practice our tried and true system of capitalism, socialism, led by a fanatic will destroy this country in seconds. Our grandchildren will pay the piper, not us, who could have stopped the crazy one. Vote your heart in November, you have been informed.

Back in the 30's and 40's a SOCALIST was greeted with hope that he was going to get a certain nation back working...........well he did but for another reason and this was the start of WW2. Art, please give an example of how President Obama is a socialist? Just one. Do you even know what that word means? You do know that certain aspects of our society and govenment are socialist like such has our highway system, Medicare, the military. Do you want to get rid of that? Also chew on this. During the hight of prosperity in the 50's more Americans beloned to Unions than ever before and if you chart the decline of the American middleclass income it has fallen over the years and the same rate that union membership has fallen. Currently we are giving tax breaks to companies that have been offshoring jobs - doesn't make sense. The Obama admin tried to cut that nonsense off but the republicans blocked and fought to keep those tax breaks. Whose side is the GOP on? Not the American people thats for damn sure.

The article is the nonsense ramblings of an old man and basically just hate and rumor. I hate to break this to you but if you care about being fiscally responsible then you should realize that taxes should NOT go down. We have two wars to pay off and never before in US history have we gone to war AND lowered taxes and cut off revenue but that is exactly what the baby brains of Bush and Co. did. Keeping the Bush tax cuts in place just further deepend the hole. Nope time to pay the piper though I'm sure politicans on both sides of the spectrum will promise tax cuts the cold truth is we already HAVE the lowest taxes for the past 70 years. You need to focus on something else and forget the bumper sticker thinking. We need to bring innovation and educational standards back so this country can have a future.

I support President Obama even though I don't agree with everything he has done he is lighyears better than anything the GOP has puked up. Romney is a creature that is incapable of telling the truth ... about anything and seems to lack a basic moral core belief system. I don't think he is that smart but rather an entitiled rich kid who seems to think it's just "his turn" to be in the white house. I shudder to think of him representing us on the world stage. My father in law was a Republican his whole life, he was a decorated war veteren and I thank god he didn't live long enough to see what has become of his party. The GOP has gone off the rails. In Michigan, for example, they just passed a dragonian anti-abortion law and they did it by supressing any opposition voice from speaking out on the floor and voting behind closed doors. Sorry but that is what dictators do. That is the new GOP.

sigh...you missed the point of my post. If you have a problem with waste, theft & mismanagement (and who doesn't) then hold those in office accountable. However if we as a nation just continue to ignore that we must pay for the services we want and mindlessly vote for whatever crook promises lower and lower taxes we will be a 3rd country banana republic in no time. We have two wars to pay for, a crumbling infrastructure and are children are ranked 27th in science. It is a fact that taxes are already the lowest they have been (especially for the wealthy) in 70 years. How much lower do you want? No taxes? Just continue Bush's plan of cutting them to satisfy the one issue voters but then borrow from China? It's not a fiscally sound way to run a country. McConnell recently admitted the Bush tax cuts did not create jobs or do any good however he still wants to keep them in place. Your right the country is in trouble we just disagree about the problem.

@militant....There is nothing wrong or strange about people believing and hoping in a supreme being, or beings, that inhabit another dimension other than our own, and who is the all mighty creator of life in the universe.
It is actually no more far fetched or impossible than having a bunch of gases floating around an empty space and then combining and exploding into trillions of stars and planets and asteroids and other celestrial matter.
Where did the empty space come from, where did the gases originate, how did they combine and why did they explode? Most inexplicable is how and why is our earth the only one of these trillions of heavenly bodies, the only one that we know of so far, that is capable of sustaining life.
Religion and the science of the big bang are both theories. Not proven facts with concrete evidence. They are hopes and theories of man, to try and understand the meaning of life and how and why we are all here together.
Think for a moment...if there were no almighty supreme being up in heaven to worship and obey, then the supreme beings would be the political leaders who enslave and control the people here on earth that we would have to worship and obey..
So lets try and get along, shall we?.

For the past 1000 years, especially true for the last 300 years, Christianity and its TRUE believers, have done more to free the world, teach the world, feed the hungry and cure the sick, than any other religion including atheism. Christianity has built more hospitals, schools and housing for the poor in this country and around the world than any other entity or religion., usually for free and with volunteers.
I will take Mother Theresa and her Christian radicals over Joseph Stalin, Mao and their atheist types , and Osama Bin Laden and the Saudi, middle eastern Islamist types any day of the week.

Religion and science differ on one very very important point. Science requires critical thinking and examination and is supported by proof and observation it is allowed to evolve (no pun intended) and be questioned. Reliigon is based on blind faith and superstition - it allows no leeway for being questioned no matter how ridiculious or harmful. I don't have a problem with anyone worshipping their "sky god" of choice but have a big problem when they seek to base our laws on such silliness. Seperation of Church and State is the BEST thing our founders did.

The current idea of the administration that the wealthy should be faced with higher tax rates is not only unfair but is profoundly stupid. History clearly shows that it will reduce total revenue and hurt the economy. As Shlaes mentioned, reductions in total federal expenditures was also an important part of the Mellon/Coolidge economy. Unfortunately more recent tax rate cuts have not been accompanied by such reductions. For example congress essentially doubled federal expenditures during the Reagan administration resulting in no net reduction in the federal deficit. It took a Republican House with Newt Gingrich to finally force enough fiscal responsibility on the government to create a couple of years of budget surpluses. Clinton should take no credit for this. It was made possible by Reagan and Gingrich.

As far as car insurance, you dont have to buy car insurance if you dont have a car. There is no federal control of car insurance. It is regulated by each state.
Obamacare forces everyone to be federally mandated to have health insurance. Not everyone uses the health care system either. Some people never go to the dr. That is their business. Some people pay cash, they dont need insurance. The true reason that healthcare system is broke is that the government forces hospitals to treat patients for free. That is socialism. If someone takes a risk and doesnt buy health ins. then the hospital should be able to take them to court in a lawsuit to recoup their loss. The government has no business forcing hospitals to treat all patients unless the government plans on picking up the tab.
Everyone eats, should restaurants and grocery stores be forced to feed everyone?
Everyone needs a place to sleep, should hotels be forced to accept people with no money?

You can still choose to be an uninsured dead beat but you will not qualify for any tax credits and may incure a small tax penality thats it. No criminal charges or anything else. It really is scary how stupid people are in this country. We have a totally broken health care system 40-50 million people are uninsured and have become financially ruined by out of control costs. Americans pay way way more for health care and don't even get the best quality compared to about 34 other nations. Every other civilized nation has understood that the health of it's citizens should not be subject to a for-profit system as it effects their economy and security. President Obama ran on trying to fix our retarded system and was the only president in decades to actually try and do something and yet the brainless morons like some of the people on this thread think dying in the streets, being turned down for pre-existing conditions, being thrown off policys and paying more than any other country for low quality care eqates to "freedom". I personally would prefer single payer or medica for all system as it would be more cost/results effective. But ACR is a baby step in the right direction.

The Bush administration allowed investor banks to make money by allowing them to bet on mortgage loans that they knew were bad from the start. Another words when people with bad credit couldn't pay their mortgages,these banks made money by betting on them to fail. Bottom line,the wall of cards came down for everyone except the banksters. Houses forclosed on,people out of work,etc,etc.
Obama comes into office...2 wars,an unfunded tax cut,and an unfunded medicare prescription d plan, leftover from the Republican Bush years are now added to a budget on top of an economic disaster caused by derugulation under Bush.
GM and Chrysler were failing and Romney's answer was to let them go bankrupt. That's how a CEO(Romney,Trump,or whoever)would have handled it. Meanwhile thousands of people would be out of work,and a whole U.S. industry would suffer.
Obama did not let that happen and GM is #1 again . USA USA

Did you know, with bank workers most are there just going to work everyday collecting a pay check at the end of the week like those of us that still have jobs, they have nothing to do with the Corp. part of it, many ( hundreds who had worked as tellers, head tellers , managers & work for many yrs ) got laid off to get vets hired ( and many of them where unable to last more then a year at these jobs) ... Vets DO NEED JOBS & there needs to be a movement in getting them postions, But NOT at the expenence of other people lossing their jobs, Its just changes the face on the unemployment line. & As far as ANTI Corp. world, There where alot more people working in the late 80's & 90's when Corp AMERICA was booming, thank Clinton for "out sorcing our jobs & relocating our Companies over seas, to Country now that will not even open there doors to open trade to us.

@gene..... you speak nothing but rational comments. Your comment in regards to the middle class is exactly what this country needs. If you have 10 families with an income of $75k in comparision to one family with a $750k income which one does the economy more justice? I don't think any practical mind can argue this.....

FYI.... 75,000 would be GREAT, Average income for Brick Rest. ( per household NOT PERSON) is btwn 50-55,000 That INCLUDES all BOE incomes over 100,000 My guess if the avarge is about 55,000 We have ALOT of homes under 30,000....

More then UKnow..... Regular bank people are great. I have a person near and dear to me that works in a bank and enjoys it. Never heard of a person who lost their to job to a Vet! That shouldn't be how it goes anyhow. But... when a Vet applies for an opening where they are qualified I think they should get SPECIAL preference because they did something that 99% of people will never do. They put their life on the line, for all of us and our great country. We all owe them more than most of us are willing to give.
I totally agree that Nafta( free trade between The U.S. ,Canada,and Mexico)was a bad move that Clinton and the Republican congress approved. Ross Perot was right on that one.

Its true.. I forget what bank it was but laid off over 100 people from the bank to give jobs to Vets... ( thinking it was Ocean First, BUT NOT SURE... I know it was a local bank) & Vets do get a Pref on job apps as regular practice.

Obama on the otherhand is pushing for tariff on tires, solar panels, and wind turbines from China. Do you think Mitt Romney cares about the American worker? Corporations,yes. The fact is corporations are not people unlike what he said. They pay their CEO'S now , many more times than what they paid them in the late 80's and ealier 90's. The top 400 families have as much wealth as the bottom 50% of all the people. Mitt Romney wants to give these families a tax break,while asking the poor to sacrifice more? Reagan and Eisenhower would be considered a socialist by today's Republi-con tea bagger standards. .Vote out the Republican congressmen and Senators who only represent corporate America. You should care more about our Constitution. 'WE THE PEOPLE.'

as a very wise man once said " ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY" I think alot of people have lost that idea... You can not expect hand outs of money ...freebies for life, No taxes back on this & expect nothing to get cut.... As with any budget, you need $$ coming in, not just money going out... at some point its gotta catch up & nothings going to be left

Freebies like no taxes paid on money stashed in Swiss banks? Freebies like money given to big oil companies? Freebies like Ceo's paying less than 15% on taxes(because there allowed to claim income as capital gains when others who earn less pay more of a percentage? Freebies like using our roads bridges,parks,and damns and calling themselves libertarian? Freebies like sending a majority of poor people to fight in the military while they themselves only talk the talk. Freebies like sitting on the Supreme Court while your wife is allowed to accept donations from the tea party? Freebies like destroying our waterways, causing earthquakes by fracking for natural gas, and polluting our air? And then Republicans want to cut Medicare to a voucher program while also looking to cut social security for seniors who paid into it(they call it reform). I can think of a lot of ways of bringing $$ in. Start with all the job bills that were filibustered by the Republican Senate. Disposable income for the middle class to spend on goods and pay their fair share of taxes. Stop the white collar welfare where the BIG MONEY is wasted.

The median income for a household in Brick Township, NJ is $52,092, and the median income for a family was $61,446. not really sure what the diffrence btwn " household income & family income is.... But still WAY to low Again that is INCLUDING those in township or School BOE making over 100,000 Would then can realize that there are still many under 30,000 as a family

More people who make 100K locally can only help our economy when they spend their disposable income here. This is good for all local businesses. Cops,teachers, firemen, etc. Fair unionized wages to stimulate the local economy and bring everyone else up by creating demand for goods and services.

@ Gene that would be great to have PPL who make over 100k spend their $ in local shops boosting the ecnomy, however, the small local shops are closing bcz they can not afford the taxes that have been demanded in the past 3 yrs, closing shop means more unemployed workers, with the average income of Brick, NOT to many people are walking around spending $$ they are only buying what is NEEDED when you have a household making 52,000 a yr

be real.... They are closing because demand isn't there. This is because the middle class has been brought to it's knees by the failure of Reaganomics. Corporations have more money than ever before. The low taxes that they now pay makes it more advantageous that they keep their money instead of reinvesting in their company. The bottom line, less middle class jobs to go arouind and less DEMAND for goods and services. If it were only taxes that were closing shops,why then is Walmart,Target,and the cheap dollar stores doing decent business.
Not enough people making decent wages anymore and the Repulican senators filibuster every jobs bill that comes up just try and make Obama look bad,.
More people should have the opportunity to make more money rather than a few at the top making their own set of rules.
