Featured Pets: Bessie and Midnight

Check the media box for photos and descriptions of some of the pets available at the Ocean County Animal Facility. These pets can be adopted at:

The Ocean County Animal Facility:
615 Fremont Ave. (off of Route 547)
Jackson, NJ 08527
Phone: 732-657-8086

Open Seven Days a Week - 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday evening until 6:30 p.m.

We are closed on holidays.

All of the animals adopted are examined by the facility's veterinarian and receive a rabies shot (if old enough), a distemper shot, a worming/heartworm screening (for dogs), spay or neuter and, in most cases, are  microchipped. We have volunteers at the shelter 7 days a week ready to help you find the perfect match for your family.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs: $60
Cats: $55

For other adoption options, check out the Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters, Inc. Facebook  Album: Cats and Kittens Currently In Foster Homes

These cats and kittens have been rescued from the shelter and put into loving foster homes.

When ready for adoption they will visit PetSmart Toms River, weekends, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Unlike our permanent PetSmart kitties, these guys only stay for the weekend in our lovely "freestander" and then go back home with their foster families for the week. If interested in adopting any of these cats please email volaux@yahoo.com
