Two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old woman have been charged with robbing a Toms River man of $1,000.
The investigation began July 5, when a Lions Lane homeowner called police at about 11:40 p.m. to report a male had walked up to the home, claiming he had been robbed. The alleged victim, later identified as a 20-year-old Toms River man, fled from the home but police caught up with him a short time later, according to Brick Police Capt. John Rein.
The man told police he was in a vehicle with two other males and a female driver, when one of the male passengers pointed a gun at him and demanded money. He said he handed over $1,000, after which he was ordered out of the vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, and told to lie on the ground.
Police investigated the incident overnight and into Friday, eventually focusing on a home where the suspect vehicle was said to be located, Rein said. Police performed a motor vehicle stop on the Sentra late Friday morning, Rein said, leading to the arrest of one of the male suspects – a 17-year-old – and the female driver, identified as Staci Fayard, 18, of Toms River.
The third suspect, another 17-year-old from Toms River, was arrested later in the afternoon.
The suspected weapon, a BB gun, has been recovered by police, said Rein.
Both male juveniles were charged with robbery, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. They were both remanded to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Facility in Toms River.
Fayard was charged with robbery, and bail was set at $150,000. She was being lodged in the Ocean County Jail, records showed Sunday.

We watched this traffic stop go down. Police had guns drawn, and rifles. What really upset me, there was a baby in the car, she looked to be about 18 months.

Are you upset with the police? i hope not.
Man, when I was 20 years old I never had $1000. If I did, I wouldnt have it in my pocket @ midnight.
I didn't sell drugs either, I guess thats the difference.

I am in no way upset with the police. What I am upset about is the mother who put her baby in harms way.
The police did a great job with this. And yes you are right when I was 17 I never walked around with 1000 in my pocket.

Drugs rule. When you experiment and then become just another "statistic" aka addict, NOTHING matters more than the next hit. Did you know that one of the favorite places to hide a stash is in a babies' diaper(while it is being worn). It can't get much lower than that.

I Don't Believe Reading Anything About Police Finding Any Stash In The Diaper Bag. And My SISTER [Staci Fayard] Would Never Try To Stash Anything In My Nieces Bag Anyways.... Everybody On Here Is Putting Out Opinions When You Never Really Know The Real Story Until You Hear From The Horse's Mouth, All You Hear Is That STACI Was Driving. How Do Any Of You Or The Police Know That She Even Knew What Was Going On Until It Happened... Don't Judge Anyone Off Of A Story That The Author Also Knows Nothing About!!!

Tell me what was she doing with the baby in the car where there was a gun? How does a 17 year old get a 1000 in pocket money?
I witnessed stop. Wonder how that baby liked having a shot gun pointed in her face?
Your sister was identified by the victim as being involved in the robbery. Both newpapers the patch and the app say the samething. Are they both incorrect? Both of them are lying on your sister? The police are lying?
Instead of posting on a forum, maybe you should be out trying to raise money to get her out of jail.

at 17 & 18 they are just about on their own. I know of many great parents that do a wonderful job with their children( some single parents & some are not) However at that age we can not watch everythig they do, At that age they think they know everything until they get caught then all of a sudden the 1st person they call is their parents who they had not listen to reason for getting in trouble in the 1st place.
17&18 be accountable, Stop blaming it on the parents.... ( and other side I know alot of parents, that shouldnt be parents &there kids are great kids)

Stop blaming the parents. We raise them as best we can. Even if we are on top of them 24/7 if we can be, which of course we can't be! We hope they take the tools we have given them and they use the common sense we have taught them. Maybe not every parent is as good as the next but once they get cars and start driving at 17 it isn't so easy to control them anymore. Mine are grown and beyond the teenage years and have survived without a mess like this thank God. But there are a lot of outside influences that come to play and these teenagers think their friends know better than their parents. Some of them are going to have to learn some hard lessons. Hope you don't find yourself in their shoes. And if you are someone judging these parents without kids yourselves, shame on you. It is a very harsh world today. I wouldn't have wanted to raise my kids today. They wouldn't have turned out so well. Too much going on. You can't even count on adults to behave well, so how do you expect them to behave well.
