Snow, Change to Rain Expected in Brick Today

A few inches, at most, is forecast

The first flakes of Brick's first snow event of 2012 began falling around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to a report from the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly posted early Saturday morning, snow will mix with sleet and then change to all rain by 1 p.m. Saturday. When all is said and done, accumulations could total between 1 and 2 inches before the changeover.

Daytime highs could reach 38 degrees Saturday, according to the report.

A slight chance of snow showers and sleet before 7 p.m. Saturday is possible, the report said, followed by a slight chance of a snow shower between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Overnight lows could dip to 26 degrees.

The sun will make an appearance Sunday, but after 1 p.m., there could be a chance of rain.
