Robo-Recycling On Track for April Debut

Township still waiting on trucks to come on

Don't use those big, blue recycling cans just yet!

Township officials have nearly finished distributing automated recycling cans to residents, but the trucks which will eventually lift them off the curb are still on their way, officials said this week.

Councilman Jim Fozman said four of the eight trucks ordered are due to arrive April 19, with the remaining four due to be delivered May 17.

Fozman said collections will likely begin after the first four trucks are delivered.

Councilwoman Susan Lydecker said the township will notify residents once the new cans can be used by way of a robo-call to residents. The township will also put the word out on Facebook.

Brick Patch will also post a notice when automated collections will begin

In other Public Works news, Fozman advised residents who see pot holes on township roads to call 732-451-4060 to report them so crews can patch them up. Residents may call the same number to request non-Sandy bulk pickup of refuse.

why the rush? if your neighborhood gets them, your neighborhood may be on the list to begin using them when the town is ready. believe me you're not going to missing out on anything historical.

Won't be using the can until I find out where the tracking chip is and remove it, and I'm not the only one who feels this way! Anyone have the answer??!?!?

Yes there are, go back and read the article saying the cans are being distributed around town, it says there are tiny microchips inside to keep track of who is recycling and who is not, it will be checked at the curb.....YOU ARE BEING TRACKED!
