Police Asking for Help to ID Mansion Stabbing Suspect

December incident still under investigation

Brick police have released the photograph of a man who they suspect was behind a stabbing at a township nightclub in December.

The stabbing incident took place Dec. 23 at the Mansion nightclub in Brick Plaza.

"The male victim in this incident was involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect inside the establishment," said Brick Police Sgt. Keith Reinhard.

The victim was ultimately stabbed twice with an unknown object, once in the stomach and once in the back, Reinhard said. He was taken to Ocean Medical Center by Brick Police EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, five-foot-six to five-foot-eight with a heavyset build, long dark hair that was worn in a ponytail that reached down to the middle of his back.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the suspect is being urged to contact Detective Thomas Cooney from the Brick Township Police Investigations Unit at 732-262-1120.

Why hasn't the township moved to close this place ? Haven't the police had to go there countless times for fights & disturbances over the years ?

When I was in my 20's we used to go to the Club House in Plainfield that didn't have issues like the Mansion does!

I think that place should be closed down and replaced with something we could all use...a liquor store! : ) Yes, I'm kidding! Actually, I used to think the the Mansion was some sort of designer clothing store or something. I never bothered to look into it. Anyway, I hope that place is gone ASAP.

Actually the place is one of the best styled nightclubs outside of Atlantic City believe it or not! Problem is that it should belong in central or south America. It's a popular hispanic hangout so my best guess is to look for this guy in Surrey Docks or Crimson Terrace. I forget what they calls those dumps on Old Hooper now adays. Either that or try Lakewood. Sorry Brick PD, just pointing out the obvious.

Jose,

You forgot Sawmill Rd. Whenever anything illegal happens in brick, it always seems there is a Sawmill Rd connection...

Ahhh. the wonders of diversity. Had enough yet!!

Why is it the press never puts the race or description of the suspect unless it is a photo where they cannot get around doing it.

"Press" is a broad term, WMS. We always publish whatever description of a suspect is provided to us, and we always post a photo if one is released.

I agree Daniel, but other outfits refuse on the grounds of political correctness and fear of always publishing certain races over others. This does not make any of us safe as we need to be on the look out for who is a possible threat. But then again political correctness is not about the rights of the majority is it. Political correctness is not meant to make us safer, but tear down our society.

Does the term political correctness sound so Soviet to you too.

If you don't read a newspaper you are uninformed.

If you read the Asbury Park Press you are misinformed.
