Indictment: Brick Man Assaulted, Terrorized Twp. Woman

Grand juries hand up indictments

A Brick man has been indicted on charges accusing him of terrorizing a township woman in August 2010.

Scott M. Dixon, 43, of Vanard Drive is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, criminal sexual contact and possession of a weapon (knife) for an unlawful purpose.

Dixon showed "extreme indifference" to the Brick woman's life when he injured and touched her inappropriately on Aug. 4, 2010.

Authorities said he also threatened to kill the woman.

Dixon was initially held in lieu of $100,000 bail but was released after posting bail the day of his arrest.

Grand juries also indicted:

Robert Kovacs Jr., 21, was charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly taking possession of the stolen jewelry.

Both were released on a summons.

  • Brandon M. Reilly, 21, of Brick on robbery and terroristic threat charges.

Reilly is accused of using force to steal from two residents in Toms River on Sept. 15, 2010, and then threatened to kill one of the victims, the indictment states.
