Council Meeting Being Held on Barrier Island
Annual tradition will continue this year
An annual tradition in Brick will return this week.
The Brick Township council will meet in the township's barrier island section, resurrecting the annual practice after a short hiatus.
The council's meeting this Tuesday will be held at its usual time, 7 p.m., but at the Normandy Beach Improvement Association building rather than the township municipal complex.
Officials have said the annual meeting is a way to reach out to both year-round and seasonal residents in that part of town.
The agenda for the meeting appears rather light. The governing body is set to vote on whether the township should solicit bids for the Bayside Park bulkheading project as well as the construction of a bike trail in the Seawood Harbor section of town.
Also on the agenda is a vote on first reading to amend the township's sign ordinance.
For those who want to attend, the Normandy Beach Improvement Association is located at 7th and Broad avenues in the Normandy Beach section.
