Brick Woman Charged In Prescription Drug Theft

A woman from Brick Township's Herbertsville section who worked as a home health aide is charged with taking prescription drugs from one of her clients.
Elizabeth Antonacci, 54, of Marina Lane, is accused of taking the drugs, following an investigation stemming from a complaint lodged with Brick police Nov. 19.
At that time, a resident notified police that she believed one of her home health aides was taking her prescription medications, said Brick Police Sgt. Keith Reinhard.
The November incident was her second report to police; one was made the previous month, Reinhard said. The victim also reported the incident to Meridian At Home, who is the employer of the home health aides.
Detective Robert Shepherd investigated and was able to positively identify the home health aide responsible for the theft of the victim’s prescription medication, said Reinhard.
Antonacci was ultimately charged with theft of prescription legend drugs. She posted $5,000 bail and was released.

So now I cant wait for all the sympathic libs to get on here and tell me hpw great of a person she is and how this is the republicans fault for not having enough programs in place.
So here is the real question..How much money has she stolen from people over the years as a health aide...people who can't talk or remember things, people who are now dead and can tell no tales.

Are you for real? What does this story have to do with politics? This home health aide is a real low life and she should be in jail. Better background checks need to be done before these people are sent into someone's home.

unsure why this has to be top news of the day. lots more violent and jail worthy crimes going on in ocean county these days. btw its a first offense; probation and loss of her health aid license at the least. get over yourselves.

I pride myself with being politically neutral and have had health aids in my homes throughout the years. For that profession, there are 4 things required: compassion, honesty, hard working, and trustworthiness. If an aid doesn't have those 4 qualities then they should not look in that field. If they violate any trust or laws, then they should pay.

If the country was founded on liberal principals..like the constitiution then why are liberals always trying to tear it down.
Background checks would be nice except that liberal judges forbid them.

What in the world has political leaning have to do with a criminal taking advantage of a vulnerable person. She is a criminal and needs to be punished. Better background checks needed and why after the first report wasn't action taken?. I have a mother who now has several care givers both private and through an agency. I have no reasons to distrust any of them but I did remove anything that might be of value. Her meds are not the kind usually stolen. No narcotics but still the feeling of being violated is really painful. I don't know anyone liberal or conservative that would defend her so WMS826 the next time one of your rights is defended it is possible that it might be a "liberal" or~~~~enen a conservative. The constitution is designed for the most part to give rights to those previously ignored or unprotected. Having been a victim of a crime of a different sort, a violent crime to myself and a worse one to my only sister who was murdered I take ALL crime as serious. One possible solution with home health aids in addition to thorough background checks is to pay them enough so that the thought of loosing the job out weights the consideration of doing anything that would cost them the job. Just a thought.

"No one has ever run a background check on Obama, so how would we know?" is an untrue and ignorant statement that has nothing to do with this article. I guess you never heard of the FEC or you believe they are part of the gov't. conspiracy (at least when your choice of candidate is unsucessful)
